RAPID SYNTHESIS OF NICKEL FERRITE NANOPARTICLES BY THE MOLTEN SALT METHOD

چکیده

Abstract It is presented a “shocking thermal treatment” methodology as modification to the molten salts process rapidly obtain pure phase nickel ferrite nanoparticles within high-scalable green synthesis scheme. Analysis from X-ray diffraction and electron microscopy (SEM TEM) confirms formation of nanostructures, with most frequent crystallite sizes between 55-85 nm. Room temperature magnetic characterization, Mössbauer spectroscopy measurements M(H), evidences their superparamagnetic distribution saturation 47.9 emu/g. An approximated stoichiometry (Ni 0.03 Fe 0.97 ) A 1.03 B O 4 was proposed Rietveld refinement, energy-dispersive spectroscopies. The effect on electronic structure due shocking treatment elucidated by estimating optical band gap values 1.78 2.38 eV.
